Yes, Virginia, We're Having Another Election |

In 2007, Virginia voters will cast ballots for all 100 House of Delegates seats, all 40 Senate seats, and all 'constitutional offices' (sheriff, clerk of courts, commonwealth attorney). In addition, all members of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the county school board will be up for election.
Typically, with no governor's race and no federal offices at stake, year's like 2007 have the lowest voter turnout of any election cycle.
This year can and should be different -- for many reasons.
The first and foremost reason to get involved in this election cycle and to vote in November is that control of the Virginia legislature is at stake. You may already have seen the 21-51 campaign, which is named for the number of seats required to control the Senate (21) and the House (51). Reaching both numbers won't be easy, but the goal is reachable with a really good Democratic turnout.
We have some great candidate running in Hunter Mill District (more about them later) what's needed is very stong group of volunteers and hard work from now until November.
